Dad, you got me started as a coach, you encouraged me to reach new heights in my own life through a different approach to sport, as a coach. You were absolutely right when you asked me to help with Safe at Home. Dad you saw a possibility for me as a coach and now fifteen years later I am experiencing many different success' both for myself as well as my players. I took up coaching and I have never looked back.
Dad, you have taught me how to be a human being and shared your wisdom with me, now I hope that I can have half the effect on the boys I coach as you have had on me. You have always been a guide for me, a "north-star" if you will, and my hope is to help spread what you have shown me amongst the young men of Summit County.
I especially love talking baseball with you, whether my experiences, our teams or the post season. We have a special connection Dad, our chats about baseball, our memories of the "Say Hey Kid and The Frozen Gatorade Play of the Day, or what would you do if you were coaching in Game 7. Because of you I have a strong foundation to be a coach and I owe it all to you,
Thanks for all you have done and continue to do! I am so glad to have learned from one of the best!
